Demand Curves: Pt 9

PS — you are probably wondering what I am reading here in the coffeeshop. I am determined to show Poppy all of the problems that will crop up and kick her in the butt if she moves in with EM. So I started by getting a book on The History of Marriage. There’s an old saying: why would you buy the cow if you can get the milk for free. And there must be some evidence of that here.

Why? You wonder do I keep referring to love, marriage, and sex as an economics issue? Because they are. Everywhere I go, I hear women complaining that good men are rare, there are no more good men, all the good ones are taken.

But I believe that relationships are a price that men must pay for sex. But women have lowered the price of sex to just three dates. And voila — is it any wonder that men just want to hookup? We allow it.
